Water level behind the East Troy Dam will be drawn down for dam inspection...

The water level behind the East Troy Dam on Honey Creek in the village of East Troy in Walworth County, will be lowered in order to inspect the dam and conduct a stream study for the Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System wastewater permit, according to the Department of Natural Resources.

Pocan Hosts Micro-Lending Event with SBA

U.S. Representative Mark Pocan (WI-02) will host an event to connect entrepreneurs in the 2nd Congressional District with lenders and skilled counselors from the Wisconsin office of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced today that Wisconsin borrowers received $23.5 million in mortgage loan-related relief in the first quarter of 2013 under the National Mortgage Settlement. Adding to previously announced totals, 3,516 Wisconsin borrowers have now claimed $167,183,021 in loan-related relief. In addition, 106 Wisconsin borrowers are in trial mortgage modifications, which will add $8 million to the State’s relief in coming months – raising the projected total to more than $175 million statewide so far.
