Governor Doyle Announces More Than $6.6 Million to Benefit Homeless Population

APPLETON, WI - July 23, 2008 - (RealEstateRama) — Governor Jim Doyle today announced awards totaling $6,602,685 to 85 organizations across Wisconsin for emergency shelter, homeless prevention, assistance and transitional programs administered by the Division of Housing and Community Development in the Department of Commerce (Commerce).

“My priority as Governor is to create opportunity for all Wisconsin citizens,” Governor Doyle said. “By providing this state and federally funded assistance, we can help more Wisconsin individuals and families find a home or keep the one they have, and put them on a path to a better life.”
