The findings of 2014 and 2015 audits of the St. Croix Chippewa Housing Authority raise concerns over how the money may have been allocated. HUD ANNOUNCES JOB GRANTS IN WISCONSIN

CHICAGO - September 24, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) today awarded Wisconsin nearly $720,000 in grants to help public and assisted housing residents connect with local services to obtain education and training to find jobs. The funding allows these local grantees to retain or hire 1,500 service coordinators to work directly with HUD-assisted families to connect them to the supportive services that meet their individual needs to become gainfully employed. January 10, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu hosted a conference call today with Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) to announce that Wisconsin has surpassed its aggressive energy efficiency goal established with the U.S. Department of Energy for funding under the 2009 stimulus law, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Through the weatherization program, the state has helped a total of more than 30,500 Wisconsin families improve the energy efficiency of their homes over the last three years, saving the average household more than $400 a year on its energy utility bills.

Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced today that Wisconsin borrowers received $23.5 million in mortgage loan-related relief in the first quarter of 2013 under the National Mortgage Settlement.
