MADISON – January 22, 2008 – Department of Commerce (Commerce) Secretary Jack L. Fischer, A.I.A., today announced that Commerce has delegated the City of Brillion, Calumet County, the authority to conduct inspections of all commercial buildings located within the municipality.
“The City of Brillion joins more than 190 other state municipalities that have been delegated the authority to conduct inspections on behalf of Commerce,” Fischer said. “This gives municipalities the opportunity to provide services on behalf of the state as well as their own enforcement activities on projects within the scope of their delegated authority. Typically municipalities can provide more immediate service to local projects.”
Under agent delegation agreement, Michael Angoli will be responsible for inspections for the City of Brillion.
Municipalities seeking further information regarding the commercial building agent program should contact Henry Kosaryzcki, Commerce, at 608/212-0138. Owners seeking submittal information to the scope of their projects can contact the City of Brillion or Henry Kosarzycki.
