Rochester Dam to undergo winter drawdown for proposed dredging
The water level behind the Rochester Dam on the Fox River in the village of Rochester in Racine County, will be lowered for the 2015-2016 fall and winter season in order to complete proposed dredging in Wind Lake and Goose Lake branch canals, according to the Department of Natural Resources.

Incidental take refers to the unintentional loss of individual endangered or threatened animals or plants that does not put the overall population of the species at risk.
WHEDA Foundation Awards $500,000 in 2015 Housing Grants
The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) has announced that the WHEDA Foundation, Inc. is awarding $500,000 in housing grants to 28 special?needs housing providers throughout the state. These grants, awarded during WHEDA’s annual Housing Grant Program competition, help housing providers build new facilities or make improvements to their existing facilities.
Village of Randolph seeks approval for wastewater treatment plant improvements, public comments welcomed
The village of Randolph has requested approval from the Department of Natural Resources for construction of improvements to its wastewater treatment plant. The treatment plant was constructed in 1983 and although the plant has sufficient capacity to serve the village for the next 20 years, much of the equipment is in need of replacement or rehabilitation.
