Racine, WI – March 31, 2008 – The Wisconsin REALTORS® Association announced today that it has endorsed Judge Lisa Neubauer for the Court of Appeals, District II.

“The Wisconsin REALTORS Association (WRA) has consistently supported candidates for public office with demonstrated competence, commitment to public service and an awareness of issues that affect private property rights and real estate professionals. We endorse judicial candidates because sustaining a capable and independent judiciary is vital to our system of law and justice.
For the spring 2008 election for the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, District II, the WRA has endorsed Judge Lisa Neubauer for a full six-year term. Our endorsement decision was based on a thorough review of the candidates’ records and direct interviews regarding judicial philosophy generally and real estate-related legal issues specifically. This philosophy embraces the fundamental rights of property owners to buy, sell, own and use their land responsibly and that these rights should be protected by our courts. On all of these issues, Judge Neubauer has demonstrated the competence, intelligence and independence to serve on Wisconsin’s Court of Appeals.”
This follows extremely strong bipartisan support from the law enforcement and court system. Judge Neubauer has received 100% of all active and former State Appeals Court Judges who have endorsed in this election, as well as former Supreme Court Justices William Bablitch, Donald W. Steinmetz, and Jon P. Wilcox. State Appeals Court Judge Neubauer has also received the endorsements from 42 out of the 47 (or 89.4%) Circuit Court Judges from the District who have endorsed in this race.
State Appeals Court Judge Lisa Neubauer has been endorsed by the overwhelming majority of law enforcement leaders and county prosecutors from within the twelve-county area of the Court of Appeals, District II, making Judge Neubauer law enforcement’s choice for the State Court of Appeals. All seven Sheriffs who have endorsed in this election are supporting Judge Neubauer. In addition, State Appeals Court Judge Neubauer has received the endorsements from five out of the six District Attorneys who have endorsed in this race, as well as one former DA. They join a growing list of law enforcement professionals including Assistant District Attorneys, Police Chiefs, and the Wisconsin County Police Association.
Judge Neubauer has the support of over 1,300 members of the community. This list includes four Governors, four current and former Members of Congress, eighteen current and former State Legislators, seventy judges, more than half of the Sheriffs in the district, numerous District Attorneys, four former Wisconsin State Bar Presidents, over 200 CEOs and business leaders, local elected officials, community leaders, as well as support from business, labor, and the legal community.
