CHICAGO, Ill. – July 19, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Opus North Corporation has announced that CenterPoint Properties Trust has purchased a 139,726-square-foot light industrial building at its Oakwood Crossings Business Center I in Oak Creek, Wisc. The newly constructed facility sold for $8.7 million.

According to Mike Yungerman, vice president of real estate development for Rosemont, Ill.-based Opus North, this latest deal underscores the value and need for industrial development in highly accessible locations.
“We are pleased we could deliver such a product to meet CenterPoint Properties Trust’s investment goals,” said Yungerman. “Oakwood Crossings is in a very accessible location within close proximity of the airport and the state lines of Wisconsin and Illinois, which is one of the reasons our long term-tenant, Yaskawa America, Inc., selected the site, too.”
Oakwood Crossings Business Center I was designed by Opus Architects & Engineers. It features 26-foot clear heights, an ESFR sprinkler system, 2 drive-in doors and 14 fully equipped truck docks.
