Governor Doyle Awards $360 Million in Affordable Housing Tax Credits

MILWAUKEE, WI - June 18, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- Governor Jim Doyle today awarded $360 million in Affordable Housing Tax Credits to fund affordable housing project developments across the state of Wisconsin and create approximately 2,300 construction jobs.

Governor Doyle Announces More Than $8 Million for Housing for Low-Income Seniors in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, WI - September 9, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) -- Governor Jim Doyle today joined Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) Executive Director Antonio Riley, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and community leaders for a ground breaking ceremony for Olga Village, a 37-unit housing development for low-income seniors on Milwaukee’s south side. The Governor announced a combination of tax credits and funding totaling over $8 million will be provided for the development.

Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced today that Wisconsin borrowers received $23.5 million in mortgage loan-related relief in the first quarter of 2013 under the National Mortgage Settlement. Adding to previously announced totals, 3,516 Wisconsin borrowers have now claimed $167,183,021 in loan-related relief. In addition, 106 Wisconsin borrowers are in trial mortgage modifications, which will add $8 million to the State’s relief in coming months – raising the projected total to more than $175 million statewide so far.
